Mythology has fascinated generations before us. Many believe that there are some daydreamers who believe in this 'nonsense'; it has also been a way to put hyperactive kids to sleep. However, even I am a part of those 'daydreamers' who believes in the Golden era of the Gods. It is quite common for people to advise you to not acquire too many material things for you won't carry it to your grave, it is simply lost in this world of oblivion. However, everyone would own at least one such article. It is invaluable in this world of lust, power, hunger and corruption. Even if it is the only beautiful object I own, I guard it with my heart and soul. A family heirloom passed down generations; so special that one could only stare astonished and spellbound.
I believe that the suspense must be killing you by now. It is the magnificent bracelet of Zeus. Yes, Zeus! The lightning god. Also known in his Roman form as Jupiter Optimus Maximus (the best and greatest). Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder! This bracelet is made of pure gold and words of praise in Greek about the glorious God, all neatly gilded and engraved in silver. In the radiance of the glowing orb only could you marvel at its sparkle; it bathing in the warm, buttery, golden light of the Sun and depicting the splendour of the Gods. Honestly, I can hear it buzzing with the power and energy of the best pagan, primitive God.
I still wear it as reminiscent of our glorious past. One day, I asked my great grandfather about its origins out of sheer curiosity. He gently smiled, radiating warmth, and carefully explained how we were the family who had the pleasure of being Zeus' mortal descendants. My eyes tore open! I, Bella Cullen, was the descendant of a marvellous and spectacular god. I squealed in excitement like a puppy. He further explained that it had helped generations before me to make important decisions and made them successful. It is also a reminder that while we discover our future, we should not forget our vivid past. I also asked why it said 'accept a calm Death' in greek. His answer was very touching. My father quoted Death, in Death's words: 'I asked why does it hurt to die? He said, "You are a beautiful lie and I'm an ugly truth."'
I always wear this bracelet because I personally feel that it invigorates me. I feel fresh, calm, overjoyed, jubilant and positive at all times. Even people have noticed I have positive vibes emanating from me. 'One man's poison is another man's treasure.' So think through what your valuable treasure is!

Quite interesting....
