Deadly Silence

And then, there was the daunting, looming, terrifying silence
It lacked laughter, love, life- everything felt the same, yet nothing was the same
Silent tears streamed down the stone walls that stood as dead as a rotting corpse
The furniture waited patiently for someone to spill the beans, but silence reigned with terror
The curtains danced to the whooshing of the eerie, frigid air
Silence was the only force
A tale as old as time itself showed its true colours
Silence is a soul sucker, but sometimes it is a blessing in disguise
